By chance, having met him while retrieving a stolen bag, Ichigo meets a client who requests an investigation on Isshin Kurosaki. Seventeen months after the defeat of Sōsuke Aizen (the summer of 2003), and at the cost of his Soul Reaper powers, Ichigo Kurosaki has been living in peace as a third year high school student and working part time for Ikumi Unagiya.
